Uttam Pradhan is a talented Indian actor known for his work in Nepali cinema. Born on July 30, 1974, in Singtam, Sikkim, India, he has made a significant impact in the film industry with his versatile performances. Uttam Pradhan made his acting debut in the teleserial "Mukti," directed by the renowned film director Tulsi Ghimire.
Some of his popular films include "Darpan Chaya," "Piyari Bahini," "Letter," and "Basain." His debut Nepali film "Darpan Chaya" (2001) is considered a cult classic that broke many box office records. "Basain" was an official entry for the Oscars Academy Awards in 2006 from Nepal.
Uttam Pradhan has received several accolades for his work, including the Sikkim Kala Samman in 2012, the highest civilian award conferred by the Government of Sikkim. He has also been felicitated by Her Royal Highness Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah of Nepal.
In addition to his acting career, Uttam Pradhan has been involved in modeling and has won titles such as Sinolchu Best Male Model of the Year (1995) and Mr. Photogenic Colgate Palmolive (1996). He is also the founder Chairman of the Sikkim Film Development Board, Government of Sikkim.
