Swoopna Suman, originally named Suman Thapa, was born on December 2, 1995, in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a well-known Nepali singer, songwriter, and guitarist, celebrated for his soulful voice and poignant lyrics, making him a significant figure in the Nepali music scene. Swoopna's musical journey began with home-recorded videos he shared on YouTube, which eventually caught the eye of Karma Records. His first professional release, "K Saro Ramri Bhako," came out in 2014 and marked the start of his career.
Since then, Swoopna has produced numerous hit songs, such as "Kasari Bhanu," "Ma Timro," "Kurera Baschu," and "Je Chhau Timi," all of which have struck a chord with his fans. His music fuses contemporary and traditional Nepali styles, resulting in a distinctive sound that resonates with listeners of all ages. Swoopna's commitment to his art and his ability to emotionally engage with his audience have garnered him a large following both in Nepal and abroad.
Beyond his musical success, Swoopna is married to Jyotsna Yogi, a Nepali model and social figure. The couple exchanged vows on May 4, 2022, after a four-year relationship. Swoopna continues to inspire and entertain through his music, performing live and collaborating on new projects with his band, The Asters.
