Swastima Khadka, hailing from Kathmandu, Nepal, was born on July 4, 1995. Her educational journey included completing her School Leaving Certificate (SLC) at Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya in Bhaktapur. Khadka pursued a three-year diploma in architectural engineering at Thapathali Campus, showcasing her diverse interests and academic pursuits.
At the age of 17, Khadka stepped into the spotlight by participating in the prestigious Nepali national beauty pageant, Miss Teen Nepal. Reflecting on her experience, she mentioned to The Nepali Man that while Miss Nepal seemed a bit distant for her, the journey through Miss Teen Nepal acted as a crucial stepping stone in her life.
In a heartwarming turn of events, Swastima Khadka's life took a significant turn when she got engaged to acclaimed film director Nischal Basnet on December 14, 2015, in the presence of close family members. The couple embraced marital bliss on February 17, 2016, in a private ceremony held in Kathmandu, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Khadka's personal life alongside her flourishing career in Nepali cinema.
