Sunil Thapa is a renowned Nepali actor known for his versatile performances in Nepali, Bollywood, and Bhojpuri films. Born on May 19, 1957, in Dang, Nepal, he has made a significant mark in the film industry with his exceptional acting skills.
Sunil Thapa began his career in Bollywood with the movie "Ek Duuje Ke Liye" and has since appeared in numerous films across different languages. He is particularly famous for his villainous roles in Nepali movies, earning him the nickname "Raate Kaila" after his iconic character in the film “Chino”.
Apart from acting, Sunil Thapa has also been involved in modeling and sports. He started his modeling career in 1974 in Mumbai and was a professional football player for ICL Club Bombay and Orkay's Sports Club. He has also worked as a photojournalist for JS Magazine and covered the Bhutan Coronation in 1974.
