Sitaram Kattel, known by his popular character name Dhurmus, was born on September 20, 1983, in Necha Betghari, Solukhumbu, Nepal. As a multifaceted talent, he has made a significant mark in the Nepali entertainment industry as an actor, comedian, director, writer, and social worker. He began his career in the entertainment industry with the comedy show Geetanjali and later gained popularity through the TV series Jire Khursani. Sitaram co-created the sitcom Meri Bassai, which became a household favorite in Nepal. His acting prowess was further showcased in films like Daud (2008), Chha Ekan Chha (2013), Wada Number Chha, and Senti Virus. Beyond his entertainment career, Sitaram is deeply committed to social work. He, along with his wife Kunjana Ghimire, runs the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, which focuses on aiding communities in need. Their notable projects include building homes for earthquake victims and constructing an international cricket stadium in Chitwan.
