Shristi Shrestha is a well-known Nepali actress, model, and former beauty queen, recognized for her contributions to the entertainment and fashion sectors. She was born on October 18, 1988, in Narayanghat, Chitwan, Nepal, and rose to national prominence after winning the Miss Nepal World title in 2012. Shristi made history as the first Miss Nepal to reach the quarter-finals of the Miss World pageant, where she also excelled in categories such as Beach Beauty and the Multimedia Award.
Prior to her entry into the Nepali film industry, Shristi worked as a model in the United Kingdom while also studying nursing. Her acting career began with the film "Gajalu" (2016), where she starred alongside Anmol K.C. The film was a commercial hit and marked her successful transition from pageantry to acting. She continued to demonstrate her acting skills in films like "Romeo & Muna" (2018), "Poi Paryo Kale" (2019), and "The Red Suitcase" (2023). Additionally, Shristi has explored theater, portraying Ophelia in a Nepali version of Shakespeare's "Hamlet," directed by Gregory Thomson.
Beyond her acting endeavors, Shristi is committed to social work and environmental conservation. She holds the position of Young Conservation Ambassador for WWF Nepal, concentrating on snow leopard conservation and various ecological projects.
