Reecha Sharma, a prominent Nepalese film actress, model, and video jockey, initially gained recognition as one of the ten semi-finalists in the Miss Nepal 2007 pageant. Her career boasts a diverse range of experiences, from acting in music videos and on ramps to her impactful presence on the big screen.
Her acting journey commenced with her debut in the Nepali film "First Love" (2010), followed by notable roles in "Mero Love Story" and "Highway" in 2011. The pivotal moment in her career arrived with the success of the box office hit "Loot" in 2012, marking a significant turning point for her acting trajectory. Reecha further showcased her talent in films like "Visa Girl" (2012), the critically acclaimed "Talakjung vs Tulke" (2014), and "Zindagi Rocks" (2015), where she portrayed the role of a cop.
Beyond her acting career, Reecha Sharma actively engages in various projects aimed at empowering women and children. She emphasizes the importance of rooted activism, viewing it not merely as a separate endeavor but as an inherent extension of her identity as a woman in a society where female voices have been stifled for too long.
Having acted in 17 movies and producing two herself, Reecha Sharma continues to make impactful strides in the entertainment industry. In December 2019, she tied the knot with Deepeksha Bikram Rana in Kathmandu after being in a relationship for two years. Rana serves as the General Manager of the Lalitpur-based Labim Mall. In September 2021, Reecha Sharma welcomed her son into the world, marking a new chapter in her personal life alongside her thriving career.
