Ramit Dhungana, a notable figure in Nepali cinema, marked his debut in the industry with the film "Maya Namara" in 2003. His impressive performance earned him the National Film Award for Debutant of the Year in the same year. Notably, in 2017, he was recognized with a Letter of Appreciation from the Nepalese government for his contributions to promoting Buddhism and peace.
Throughout his career, Dhungana has made significant contributions to nearly 100 films. Some of his noteworthy movies include "Maya Namara" alongside Rajesh Hamal, "Muglan" featuring Dilip Rayamajhi, "Dewar Babu" with Biraj Bhatta, "Dhadkan" alongside Nikhil Upreti, and "Jeevandata" starring Rajesh Hamal, Biraj Bhatta, and Jharana Thapa. Notably, he appeared in "Sundar Mero Naam" alongside Deepak Raj Giri, aiming to raise awareness about autism. His most recent project, "Buddha Born in Nepal," filmed at Cornell University, aimed to shed light on political and educational awareness.
