Rajesh Hamal is a highly renowned Nepalese film actor and television host who holds an esteemed position in the history of Nepali cinema. He is often referred to as the "Maha Nayak" (Star amongst the Super Star) in the Nepali film industry due to his significant influence and immense popularity. During the 1990s and early 2000s, he held the distinction of being the highest-paid Nepalese actor.
Rajesh Hamal is not only a national icon but also gained popularity across South Asia, setting numerous box office records in Nepali cinema. These records include having the most commercially successful films as a lead actor, a string of consecutive hits, and the highest number of awards as an actor.
His acting journey began in 1989 when he made his debut in his uncle's film "Yug Dekhi Yug Samma," which was a massive success, catapulting him to nationwide stardom. However, it was the 1991 blockbuster "Deuta" that marked a turning point in his career and elevated him to superstar status.
