Laxmi Giri, formerly known as Laxmi Paudel and born on January 19, 1955, is a highly accomplished Nepalese actress with a career spanning over 35 years. Her versatile talent has graced the stages, television screens, and feature films in various languages, including Nepali, Newari, Maithili, Tamang, and Bhojpuri.
Over the course of her illustrious career, Laxmi Giri has made appearances in more than 150 feature films, participated in over 600 television programs (including six "mega-serials"), and featured in nearly 20 advertisements, showcasing her wide range of acting skills.
She embarked on her television journey in 2042 BS, right after the establishment of Nepal Television, marking the beginning of her remarkable television career. One of her most memorable stage roles was in MaHa Jodi's production "Bigyapan," where she performed in an impressive 289 performances, both nationally and internationally. This included shows in 35 different states in the United States, across three countries in the United Kingdom, as well as performances in Hong Kong and India.
Her initial television role was in the series "April First," setting the stage for her enduring and influential career in the Nepalese entertainment industry.
