Khagendra Lamichhane is a prominent figure in Nepalese theater, revered as an accomplished actor, writer, and director. Renowned for his impactful roles in movies like "Talakjung vs Tulke" and "Pashupati Prasad," he initiated his acting career back in 1999. Alongside his acting talent, he has directed five plays, showcased at national and international theater festivals, and has authored three published books.
His influence extends beyond acting; he collaborated with BBC Media Action, contributing as an actor, writer, producer, and editor for the internationally acclaimed drama "Katha Mitho Sarangiko" and as an editor for the reconstruction radio drama "Kathamaala." Additionally, Lamichhane served as the Drama Production Consultant at the British Council. Presently, he holds the position of chairperson at Tukee Arts Pvt. Ltd.
His creative journey expanded into filmmaking with his debut feature film, "Talakjung vs Tulke," where he not only wrote but also starred in the film, earning recognition for his role as Tulke. Similarly, he gained acclaim for portraying the character Pashupati Prasad Khakurel in the movie "Pashupati Prasad" in 2014.
Apart from his film accomplishments, Lamichhane showcased his versatility by featuring in his own play, "Dant Ko Dob," and participated in the film "Highway," which earned a screening at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival in 2012.
