As the chairman and president of the Chaudhary Group (CG), he wields significant influence in Nepal’s business landscape. CG Corp Global, part of the Chaudhary Group, boasts an extensive portfolio spanning 160 companies and 123 brands across five continents and 27 countries. With a workforce exceeding 15,000 people, the group’s diverse interests include banking, insurance, finance, housing, and real estate. Notably, Binod Chaudhary holds a controlling stake in Nepal’s Nabil Bank and is the force behind CG Foods, the maker of the popular Wai Wai noodles. Wai Wai’s overseas factories in India, Serbia, and Bangladesh are complemented by a new one under construction in Egypt. The company also plans to introduce a range of sauces.
In the hospitality sector, CG owns and manages 143 properties, including a string of luxury hotels in collaboration with India’s Taj hotel chain.
