Bhuwan K.C. (Nepali: भुवन केसी; born September 17, 1956) is a multi-talented Nepalese figure known for his extensive contributions to the Nepali entertainment industry. He is an actor, director, producer, singer, and politician. As of July 26, 2022, he holds the position of Chairman at the Film Development Board in Nepal.
Bhuwan K.C. embarked on his career in the world of entertainment at the tender age of 10 when he began singing for Radio Nepal. His early songs, such as "Jage Jage Sara Raat," "Aru Kalo Rail Ko Dhuwale," and "Mayalu Timi Tadha," marked the beginning of his journey in music. His debut in the film industry came with "Juni" in 1983, but it was the 1984 release "Samjhana" that truly established him as a successful actor.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bhuwan K.C. has been part of numerous hit films, including "Kusume Rumal" (1985), "Santaan" (1987), "Tilhari" (1988), "Kanyadan" (1990), "Chino" (1990), "Trishna" (1991), "Dui Thopa Aansu" (1993), "Dakshina" (1994), "Raanko" (1995), "Karodpati" (1997), "Nepali Babu" (1999), and "Superstar" (2003).
In addition to his acting career, Bhuwan K.C. has ventured into directing, with the film "Dreams" (2016), which starred his son, Anmol K.C., in the lead role. His diverse contributions have made him a prominent figure in Nepali cinema and entertainment.
